DDU, also known as "Delivered Duty Unpaid", stands for "Delivered Duty Unpaid (Designated Destination)". This is a trade term used to clarify the responsibilities that both the buyer and seller must bear at the time of delivery.

Specifically, under the DDU trade term, the exporter (seller) is responsible for transporting the goods to the designated location in the importing country and bears all costs and risks, including transportation costs, insurance costs, and customs clearance fees and risks. However, it should be noted that this does not include tariffs, taxes, and other official fees that need to be paid when importing goods, which must be borne by the importer (buyer).

In addition, under the DDU terms, the seller shall bear all risks and expenses of transporting the goods to the destination and handle import customs clearance procedures, while the buyer shall assist in providing customs clearance documents and paying import taxes and fees in the destination country. If additional costs and risks are incurred due to the importer's failure to handle the customs clearance process for imported goods in a timely manner, they must also be borne by the importer.
